Heat logs — also known as compressed wood logs or briquette logs — are made from compressed sawdust and wood shavings with no binders or additives. Because of their density, they burn significantly hotter and longer than standard firewood, making them one of the most efficient ways to heat a room.

Moisture content is typically 8–10%, lower than even the best kiln-dried logs. This means virtually all the combustion energy goes into heat rather than evaporation.
