Dry kindling is the most important part of starting a successful fire — and the step most people underestimate. Our kiln-dried kindling nets are split to the ideal size (finger-width), dried to below 15% moisture, and ready to use straight from the bag.

Damp kindling is the single most common reason a fire fails to take hold. Properly dried kindling catches from a single firelighter and burns hot enough to bring your logs up to ignition temperature — no blowing, no fanning, no second attempt.

How to use it

• Place one or two wax firelighters in the centre of your grate or stove
• Build a grid of kindling over the top — two or three layers at 90° angles
• Add a small log on top and light the firelighters from the front
• Leave it — dry kindling does the rest
